How to Develop a Compact Baseball Swing

5. Fallen ball drill – instructor holds ball up in air and drops ball in the hitter’s strike area following the hitter takes their stride. A compact move is necessary to make solid, regular contact.

6th. Alternate fast and decrease pitches until hitters learn to have the same quick swing on all pitches – when players make good contact on both speeds while striking balls in direction of where the pitch is located is the goal.
